Rashly purchased in 1988 with help from Dad and what remained of my MSc grant, forcing me to survive on baked potatoes for the remainder of
the course. Used mainly to learn how to perform under-powered overtaking on the A5 to North Wales, this was an immensely dull car enlivened only
by my attempts to 'tune' it by fitting a rev counter and doing my own servicing. Amazingly it survived to get me to Liverpool for my first real job.
The photo shows a remarkably young looking me, outside Bleaz's house in Harlod Mount, Headingley, probably thinking about onion bhajis.
